Snooping on him, the robbers thought it to be an opportune time. They broke into his house and located an almirah that they found hard to open. The robbers had the temerity to take it out to a grove and leisurely break it. They found Rs 1 lakh and 3-sovereign gold jewellery

With the loot they fled the spot leaving things as such. Many clothes and paraphernalia were strewn on the floor. Kumaran was informed about this by the neighbours. Kumaran reported it to the Auroville police station. Nothing about the robbers is known as yet.
