Latha positive about Rajini’s leadership

Actor Rajinikanth’s wife Latha has voiced support for her husband’s political ambitions saying that his entry into politics will help the people of Tamil Nadu.

Speaking to a magazine, Latha said that she would stand by her husband in his pursuits, be it a political journey or a spiritual journey that he undertakes. This is the first public comment that has been made by the star’s wife on his imminent entry into politics.


Rajinikanth declared his intention to enter politics on December 31 last year. The actor’s brother Sathyanarayana has said that an announcement on the party launch is imminent in December.


Meanwhile, the 67-year-old has released a video thanking his Japanese fans and inviting them to watch the re-release of his 1995 blockbuster Muthu in Tokyo on November 23.


The occasion will mark 20 years since its first screening in Japan in 1998. The one-minute clip shows the Superstar seated in front of his Rajini Makkal Mandram logo, with a poster of the movie nearby. The video will play across Japanese television channels and social media, as well as before every screening of the movie.
