COIMBATORE: The twitter account of Coimbatore city police was hacked and information regarding crypto currency were shared in it on Thursday. The twitter account was hacked in the early morning hours and was posted with information on crypto currency and some conversations. The cyber crime sleuths managed to recover the account at around 8.30 am, after five hours of efforts. The Coimbatore city police have regularly been posting awareness information and videos on cyber crimes, to avert accidents and contact information for the public to reach out during emergencies on the Twitter handle.
