Kerala floods: SR cancels trains

Heavy downpour in Kerala continued to affect train operations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as Southern Railway on Sunday cancelled dozens of trains.

Dr MGR Chennai Central - Mumbai CSMT Mail (11028) on August 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 has been cancelled. Mangalore – Shri Mata Vishno Devi Katra Navyoug Express (16687) scheduled to leave Mangalore on August 12 is partially cancelled between Mangalore and Coimbatore. Kochuveli - Lokmanya Tilak Netravati Express (12202) on August 11, which was earlier cancelled, is partially restored and will now run from Mangalore Junction to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 5 am on August 12.Sri Ganganagar – Kochuveli Weekly Express (16311) on August 13, Banaswadi - Ernakulam Weekly Express (22608), Alleppey - Dhanbad Bokaro Express (13352) on August 12 is partially cancelled between Alleppey and Coimbatore, Ernakulam – Patna Bi-Weekly Express (22643) on August 12 is partially cancelled between Ernakulam and Erode, and Trivandrum – Korba Express (22648) on August 12 is partially cancelled between Trivandrum and Coimbatore and will run from Coimbatore to Korba on August 12. Train no 16102 Kollam – Chennai Egmore express of August 12 will run as per schedule from Kollam to Chennai.
