‘Karunanidhi well, to return home on December 23’

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M Karunanidhi, who has been undergoing treatment for infection at Kauvery hospital for nearly a week, will be discharged on December 23, according to hospital sources.

A statement from the hospital on December 21 said that Karunanidhi was recovering well. “He will be discharged from the hospital after completion of course of antibiotics,” it added. The 92-year-old leader suffered throat and lung infection last week and was rushed to the hospital. This was the second time, the nonagenarian had been admitted to hospital.
