A team of around nine IT teams descended on one of the poultry feed manufacturing firms at 11 pm on Thursday. The search operations continued till 6 am on Friday.

Sources said that thorough searches were conducted in the cashier room, rest room for staff and the godown in the poultry feed farm. The IT Department restricted anyone from either leaving or entering the poultry farm premises.

Both the main gate and the rear doors were locked and the police were posted at these entrances. The IT sleuths also checked the employee register andaccount details.

They also checked documents and inquired the owners regarding tax evasion and other issues. After the night long search operations, the IT sleuths left the spot carrying some incriminating documents seized from the firm.

Officials said that a similar raid was also conducted in another poultry feed production firm in Rasipuram on taxevasion charges.
