Addressing an election rally in Sivaganga district in support of the alliance candidate Karti Chidambaram (Congress), son of former union minister P Chidambaram, he said that the Centre was only catering to the needs and interests of corporate giants and hence it would be perfect to call it a “CJP government.”

Canvassing votes for Karti Chidambaram, the DMK leader pointed out the poll promise made by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said that all farm loans would be waived, if Congress was voted to power, within 10 days of assuming office.

He assured, “All the poll promises of the DMK will be fulfilled if the UPA comes to power at the Centre.”
