Erode farmer held for cultivating ganja

A 40-year-old farmer was arrested in Erode on Sunday for growing ganja in his farm.

Acting on a complaint from Village Administrative Officer Ramesh, the Thalavadi police carried out a search in the farm owned by Kondappa. He was found cultivating ganja amidst maize crop. The police destroyed 135 ganja plants, which have grown up to four feet in height. Police arrested the farmer and further inquiries are.
