Education officials seal school in Coimbtore for holding entrance test

A school in Coimbatore has been sealed by officials of the school education department for conducting entrance tests to admit students on Tuesday.

Schools were declared closed in view of COVID-19 pandemic. Acting on a tip off that students have gathered for a test at CSI Boys Higher Secondary School, the district collector K Rajamani deputed a team comprising senior revenue and education officers to inspect and initiate action against the school.

Later, the school was sealed and an inquiry is underway by the officials of the education department for further action. Recently a school in Ooty was sealed for holding entrance tests to admit students.
