Dy Speaker alleges scam in doctors’ appointment

Alleging that irregularities are suspected in the appointment of government doctors here, Assembly Deputy Speaker MNR Balan on Friday urged Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao to conduct an inquiry.

In a memorandum submitted to Rao, Balan urged to order for a high level probe if any violation of rules were detected in the appointments.


He also sought the details of the rules followed in the appointments and actions initiated by the Minister for perusal.


“I do not know what went wrong,” Rao said, adding that a report from the Health Secretary was sought and it would be forwarded to the Deputy Speaker.
