Dr Sivanthi Aditanar Welfare Association distributes clothes, Nilavembu kashayam

A number of beneficiaries received clothes and Nilavembu kashayam distributed by the Tamil Nadu Dr Sivanthi Aditanar Welfare Association at a function in Pudupet on Wednesday.

The event was organised by the Pudupet unit of the welfare association. Present at the event was B Adhavan Adityan, grandson of Dr Sivanthi Aditanar, and great grandson of Si Pa Aditanar, founder of Daily Thanthi, who attended the function as a special invitee.


During the event, B Adhavan Adityan handed out free saris to 100 women while 50 autorickshaw drivers received uniforms. Around 500 persons were given Nilavembu kashayam to help ward of fevers during the rainy season. Others who took part in the event included office-bearers and members of the association, while executive committee member Kayal RS Ilavarasu presided over the function.
