Speaking  to  reporters  during  her  ‘Vidiyalai  Nokki  Stalinin  Kural’  campaign  in  Erode  on  Tuesday,  the  DMK  leader  said  that  people  are  waiting  for  the  AIADMK  government to end.

“The AIADMK has lost its  self-respect,”  she  said,  while  exuding  confidence that the DMK will win the polls and DMK president MK Stalin will become the Chief Minister.

Responding  to  a  query  on  former  union  minister  MK  Azhagiri’s  claim  that  he  would  play  a  role  in  the  upcoming  polls,  the MP said that it’s his personal decision. “This  is  a  democratic  nation  and  anyone  can  start  a  party  or  enter  politics.  I  have  nothing  to  say  about  that,”  she  said,  when  pressed further on reports that Azhagiri is planning to start a new party.

On   PMK   protest   seeking   reservation   for  the  Vanniyar  community, Kanimozhi  made an indirect attack by terming it to be a mere drama for the upcoming polls. “It’s not my opinion, but I am reminded of a person saying that,” she said.

Regarding actor Rajinikanth’s entry into politics,  Kanimozhi  said  that  she  may  not  give her comments until the actor takes his political plunge.

To a query if prohibition will be enforced if DMK comes to power, the MP said that it would  be  known  once  the  party’s  election  manifesto is released.“The  DMK’s  election  manifesto  is  being  prepared and still views of people in several districts are yet to be heard. Once those works get over, the election manifesto will then be released,” she said.

The  DMK  leader  also  attacked  the  BJP  claiming that the party has been bent upon destroying the reservation system and only the   Dravidian   parties   are   continuously   voicing  and  protesting  for  its  cause.  She  earlier interacted with auto rickshaw drivers,  members  of  transgender  communities  and residents in the district.
