DMK's Raja tastes victory in Nilgiris parliamentary constituency.

As the counting process has concluded in Nilgiris constituency, the officials have announced the DMK's candidate A Raja's victory.

Election commission has declared that A Raja of DMK has won in Nilgiris parliamentary constituency. DMK fielded A Raja in Nilgiris reserved parliamentary constituency, where he won his opponent by the margin of 2,05,357 lakh votes.

Since 2009 , this constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. It has recorded 70.79% turnout. 

In 2014 Lok Sabha election, AIADMK's candidate C Gopalakrishnan was elected from Nilgiris parliamentary constituency.
