The DMK on Tuesday petitioned State Election Commission (SEC) to issue appropriate orders directing state to re-schedule December 4 review meeting of Chief Minister in Sivaganga and to hold the same after prescheduled election to the posts of chairman and vice-chairman of Sivaganga District Panchayat Council is over. Referring to the November 24 dated SEC notification for the elections in Sivaganga district on December 4, DMK organising secretary RS Bharathi, in his petition, said, “When the election is pre-scheduled on December 4, the review meeting (of the CM) is purposely planned and announced at the instance of the ruling AIADMK party to commit all possible electoral malpractices.”
