Dr Ramadoss of PMK launched scathing attacks against Governor calling his delay on deciding 7.5 percent reservation on UG medical courses, purposeful.

This isn't an inadvertent delay, if the Governor could overrule any bill passed by state government, where is respect for people-elected government, questioned Ramadoss.

The bill provides 7.5 percent horizontal reservations for government school students in UG medical courses that even encompasses indigneous medical streams and homeopathy .

It has 32 days since the assembly unanimously voice-voted for the bill.

Justice Kirubakaran of Madurai Bench too observed that swift decision making from the Governor would be welcome and also offered plaudits to parties for supporting the state government's measure to elevate the status of government school students.
