COVID-19 positive woman gives birth to boy at Coimbatore ESI Hospital

A 31-year-old COVID-19 positive woman delivered a boy at ESI hospital on Saturday.

According to officials, the woman, a resident of the Karumbukkadai area was tested for COVID-19 infection during routine check-up as she came from a containment zone. As the results showed her positive for the infection, the woman was admitted to ESI Hospital on May 3. The woman, under treatment for coronavirus, delivered a boy on Saturday night. Both the mother and baby are in good health. Doctors said that new born will also be tested for COVID-19.
