Chennai

Tamil Nadu has registered 5,325 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, according to the state's department of health. The overall tally has increased to 5,57,999 in the state.

The state saw 63 Covid-19 fatalities today. Taking the total toll to 9,010.

On the positive side, 5,363 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from various hospitals in the state.

The capital city Chennai has detected 980 fresh cases today. While other districts recorded 4,345 fresh cases in past 24 hours.

Tamil Nadu is seeing a slight drop in daily covid fatalities lately.
