COVID 19: TN records 5,017 new COVID cases and 72 fatalities in a single day

As many as 5,017 people tested positive for coronavirus in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours, the State Health Department on Tuesday, increasing the COVID infections toll in the state to 6,30,408.

In the last 24 hours, 72 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday pushing the death toll in the state to 9,917.

While the state capital, Chennai recorded a total of 1,306 new cases, the other districts reported 3,711 cases.
