Congress leader Khushbu may join BJP: Sources

Actor-turned-politician and Congress spokesperson Khushbu Sundar is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, according to sources.

This development comes ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

Only a few days ago, Congress spokesperson Khushbu had rubbished rumours about her joining the BJP. The rumour arose when she had welcomed the National Education Policy proposed by Modi government though her party had raised objections to many of its proposals.

She had tweeted, "#NewEducationPolicy2020, A welcome move." It was enough to spark off speculations. However, she categorically refuted all such rumours regarding joining the saffron party.

The southern star joined the Congress in 2014 after quitting from DMK.
