Class 12 girl kills self, kin protest in Ariyalur

A Class 12 girl committed suicide on Tuesday after being instigated by a youth and her relatives refused to accept her body demanding the arrest of the accused.

V Velmurugan (22) from Kadukoor near Ariyalur was in love with a woman from the neighbourhood and sought the help of V Puja and pestered her.

She even reported it to the CM’s cell and Central Zone IG and Ariyalur SP. However, on Monday, Puja consumed pesticide and died.
