BJP has no intention to enter Tamil Nadu through backdoor: M Venkaiah Naidu

Observing that the problems of Tamil Nadu farmers was an issue concerning the State government, Senior BJP leader and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said it was for the AIADMK to sort out their intra-party differences and that neither the Centre or the BJP would interfere in it.

Talking to reporters at the airport here, he said the BJP would not interfere in the affairs of other parties.

Asked about the differences within the AIADMK, he said the Centre or the BJP would not interfere in the affairs of other parties.

''It is for the AIADMK to sort out their intra-party differences'', he added.

He said the Centre always wished for a stable government in the State and it would extend full cooperation to carry forward the schemes announced by late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Dismissing the charge that the BJP was trying to gain foothold in the state through backdoor by allegedly using the AIADMK's split, Naidu said the BJP has no such intentions.

Asked about the more than month long agitation by farmers in New Delhi demanding waiver of all crop loans and drought relief, Naidu said the farmer's issue was an issue concerning the state government.

The Union Government had deputed a Central team to assess the drought  situation in the State and based on its recommendations the Centre had given a drought relief of Rs 2,000 crore to the state.

He said there was nothing political in his visit to the state as he has come to the city to discuss the problems concerning the film industry with the South Indian Film Artistes Association.
