Baalu urges Tambaram halt for Tejas

DMK Parliamentary party leader TR Baalu has urged the Railway Board to provide stoppage to Madurai-bound Tejas Express from Chennai Egmore at Tambaram terminal.

In a representation made to Railway Board chairman Vinod Yadav at the national capital in person, copy of which was circulated to the media, Baalu on Thursday requested stoppage at Tambaram to enable suburban passengers to entrain at Tambaram and travel up to Madurai.


“This facility could ease traffic congestion inside the metro city and it will lead to hassle free transportation of passengers and save time,” the representation said, urging the Railway Board chairman to issue suitable instructions in this regard for the stoppage of the Tejas Express at Tambaram terminal for a minute to alleviate the problems faced by the passengers. A statement released by the DMK said the board chairman has offered to consider his request positively.
