“For admission in this academic year, the government has introduced an online-based application system for the Government Arts and Science College from July 21 to 31. However, the students living in the hilly and remote villages were not able to apply. Due to lack of internet facilities and unavailability of the public transportation, several hundreds of students were not able to apply through online,” TARATDAC said in a letter to the Chief Minister.

It noted that since the admission has not begun in the government colleges, the government should provide one-week grace time for all the students file the application. “For the difficulties faced by the differently-abled students, the school teachers and the differently-abled welfare department should be directed to assist the students,” it added.
