AIADMK MLA AK Bose dies after cardiac arrest

Thirupparankundram AIADMK MLA AK Bose passed away, in Madurai early on Thursday morning, due to cardiac arrest.

According to police and party sources, the 69-year old sitting MLA was admitted to a private hospital last evening following chest pain.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.

Bose joined the AIADMK as youth wing leader and served as Party's Urban District Secretary for Madurai. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly thrice in 2006, 2011 and 2016. 

Chief Minister K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam expressed their condolences.

"Bose was loyal to the AIADMK and J Jayalalithaa," a party statement said.

DMK Working President and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly MK Stalin also condoled Bose's death, saying it was a big loss to the people of Thirupparankundram.
