AIADMK creating record in deficit budget, slams Stalin

No long-term plans or programmes only debt, the principal opposition party in the state DMK reacted to the state budget presented by Finance Minister O Panneerselvam on Friday.

DMK president MK Stalin said the budget do not contain any long term plans while has burdened each person in the state with about Rs 57,000 debt. “The AIADMK government has created a record in presenting deficit budget,” he said adding the revenue deficit has also increased. Claiming that every year, there is a chance that the deficit will increase, the DMK leader said the AIADMK government could not receive Central funds to the tune of about Rs 18,000 crore. “There is no fund allocation in the budget for deep sea fishing,” he said adding “the government is trying to depend on financial assistance from private parties to run Amma Canteens.”  Stalin said the budget do not have any clarity on any of the projects announced in the Assembly.
