4 killed in two accidents in districts

Four persons died in two different mishaps that took place in Pudukkottai and Thanjavur on Saturday.

Muthusamy (27), a resident of Peravurani, Thanjavur, came to Koththamangalam on Saturday morning along with his relative Vetri in a motor cycle to meet his sister. When they were returning, a coconut shell laden lorry hit their two-wheeler. In the impact, both were thrown off from their vehicle. The passers-by, on seeing them, alerted 108 ambulance. But, they died before the vehicle reached the spot. 

Karuppiah of Karaikudi along with his relatives, met with an accident in Nagapattinam road when they were heading to Chidambaram in car. Thier car while over-taking a lorry, hit the rear side of it and both driver and Karuppiah were crushed to death in the impact.
