38 rain-related deaths in 15 days across Tamil Nadu

At least 38 people across TN have lost their lives due to monsoon-related causes since October 25, according to data obtained from the police.

Chennai

Of them, 12 persons died due to lightning while 11 succumbed to wall collapse. At least 10 persons died in floods while three died from tree falls over the past fortnight.

Among the districts, Chennai has reported 5 deaths while Madurai and Theni have reported 4 deaths each. Three persons died due to rain-related causes in Ariyalur and Ramnad so far during the North-East monsoon 2021 so far.
