State Election Commissioner Satyabrata Sahoo said that in the past three months 30,000 double entries have been struck off.

He met with the press after meeting with nine recognised parties of the state. Having deliberated about voters list correction, safety arrangements for voters with the party representatives, Sahoo briefed the public.

There were also discussions about arranging a special four-day camp for people willing to either add or remove their names from the list.

However, parties have said that people are more keen on applying online for corrections.
