Virendhar Cricket Academy romped to a six-wicket win over Samsung India in the final of the Puratham Premier League. Set to chase 184 in 30 overs, Virendhar CA’s N Ganesh struck a whirlwind 101 off just 35 balls that included seven boundaries and 10 sixes.

TN women lose to Goa

Goa eased to a five-wicket win over Tamil Nadu in the BCCI Elite ‘C’ U-19 Women’s tournament in Margao on Saturday. After opting to bat first, TN women were restricted to 99 as Goa’s skipper Tejashwini Duragad was the pick of the bowlers taking four for 19. In reply, Goa reached the target with nearly 20 overs to spare and five wickets remaining.

Vignesh replaces Natarajan in TN squad

S Aniruda, Rohit Ramalingam and K Vignesh have been selected to represent the Tamil Nadu State team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 League Tournament matches to be held from February 21 to March 2 at Surat, replacing Vijay Shankar (Selected for India), T Natarajan (Injured) and V Athisayaraj Davidson (Injured).
