MCC captain S Suresh Kumar led from the front scoring 117 as his team defeated MRC ‘A’ by 14 runs in the VA Parthsarathy Memorial trophy here on Tuesday.

Suresh was involved in a 124-run partnership for the third wicket in 152 balls with Akshay V Srinivasan who made 66 (92b, 8x4). In reply, MRC ‘A’ was bowled out for 300 in 49.5 overs. Virat Singh’s 96 went in vain. For MCC, M Ganesh Moorthi took four wickets for 59 runs.
