Ram Arvind slams century in AVM Rajeshwari win

Ram Arvind slammed an unbeaten hundred to pave the way for his team AVM Rajeshwari MHSS (Chennai) to defeat Sri Jayendra Saraswathi CC by 38 runs in the Junior Super Kings Inter-School T20 Championship on Tuesday.

Arvind’s knock contained eight sixes and seven fours as he ended up scoring 101 off just 57 balls. He received good support from R Yaswant who made 40 that included two sixes and two fours.

In reply, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi could manage to score 121, falling short of the target by 38 runs. D Aswath’s innings of 94 went in vain.

BRIEF SCORES: AVM Rajeshwari MHSS (Chennai) 159/3 in 20 overs (Ram Arvind 101*, R Yaswant 40) bt Sri Jayendra Saraswathi MHSS (Coimbatore) 121/3 in 20 overs (D Aswath 94). Neelambal HSS (Salem) 101 in 16.5 overs (Prakash 4/16) lost to KSC Governemnt HSS (Tirupur) 102/4 in 13.1 overs (S Gokul 27). Jawahar CBSC School (Cuddalore) 73 in 20 overs (A Aasrit 3/10) lost to Don Bosco MHSS (Chennai) 74/2 in 10.5 overs (S Ganesh 32).
