Set to chase 165 for a place in the final, Naveen Kumar and G Nagarajan 66 not out (76b, 5x4) added an unbroken 126 runs for the third wicket to guide their team home. In the second semi-final, Apollo Tyres scored 208 in its stipulated 30 overs with C Kubendran scoring 91. In reply, IBM was bowled out for 162.
