Mixed day for FC Madras

On a double header day – Thursday – FC Madras had a mixed bag of results.

In the Sub-Junior (Under-13) League, FC Madras eased past Great Goals 6-0, thanks to braces from Gingoungam and Mangthenlal. Premish and Thomas also got on the scoresheet for the winning side in the morning fixture. Both sides met again, this time in the evening for the Junior (Under-15) League.


FC Madras led 1-0 at the break, but Great Goals slotted two goals in the second period to register a come-from-behind 2-1 success. Deadly striker Manglenthang was forced off injured in the first half, giving the visiting side a lucky edge.


Results: Sub-Junior (U-13) League: FC Madras 6 (Premish 14’, Gingoungam 31’, 38’, Thomas 62’, Mangthenlal 69’, 70’) beat Great Goals 0;   


Junior (U-15): FC Madras 1 (Manglenthang 16’) lost to Great Goals 2 (Harshvardhan 57’, Jeevan 76’).
