Local League: Three Chennai referees selected for UEFA training

Three referees from Chennai R Venkatesh, P Vairamuthu and R Manojkumar from the Chennai Football Association have been selected to undergo a UEFA Centre of Referees Excellence Programme from April 25 to May 4 at Geneva in Switzerland.

The Chennai referees are the only representation from Asia. They will undergo a training and a fitness test post which they may get a chance to officiate matches in the Swedish League or French League.

The trio is expected to leave Chennai on Monday.
