Cooch Behar Trophy: Tamil Nadu in driver’s seat

Tamil Nadu skipper Pradosh Ranjan Paul remained not out on 99 as the host trailed Odisha by 68 runs on the second day of the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 Elite C four-day duel at the CDCA-SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore on Saturday.

In reply to the away side’s first innings total of 281, Tamil Nadu was 213 for four at stumps. Pradosh and M Boopathi Vaishna Kumar (69) both struck half-centuries to put their side in the driver’s seat. Earlier, captain Anil Parida (136) single-handedly guided the visitor to a respectable score. His innings was studded with 17 fours and two sixes.
