Kerala Blasters FC drew the first blood by the hour mark when Belfort receieved the ball on the left deep in midfield and had no second thoughts about running at the Delhi defense. Anas Edathodika slid in and attmpted to block Belfort’s shot on goal but unfortunately the ball deflected off him and found the back of the net. Delhi Dynamos FC, searching for an equaliser, had the best chance in the dying minutes when Marcelo Leite Pereira tried to attack from the right. However, the top scorer of the season went for a long distance shot, mishit it completely and the ball sailed away wide of the goal into the stands behind. As the referee blew the final whistle, players from both the teams got into a scuffle and the officials had to seperate them.
