In the women’s group, Manika Batra overcame veteran Mouma Das’ resistance to triumph 4-2 (4-11, 11-9, 13-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-6). The singles win was double sweet for Amalraj as he won the doubles final too, partnering Harmeet Desai.

The pair defeated veteran A Sharath Kamal and Sudhanshu Grover 3-2 (9-11, 9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 12-10). Amalraj and Harmeet lost the first two games and restored parity in style at 2-2. Sharath and Grover tried to come back strong in the fifth game but lacked the cutting edge to finish the game off.

The last game was fought tooth and nail with Amalraj and Harmeet winning 12-10. In the women’s doubles final, Riti Shankar and Senhora D’Souza got the better of Mousmi Pal and Ankita Das 3-1 (11-13, 11-6, 16-14, 11-9).
