Thattanchavady MLA to take oath tomorrow

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader K Venkatesan, who won the Thattanchavady Assembly by-election, held on April 18, will be sworn in on Wednesday.

Puducherry speaker in-charge Sivakozhunthu would administer the oath of office to Venkatesan.


It may be noted that the Speaker’s post is now vacant. Vaithilingam, as the Speaker resigned his post to contest the Lok Sabha seat from Puducherry.


Venkatesan called on Chief Minister V Narayanasamy in his chamber and took his blessings.


DMK convenors R Siva and SP Sivakuamr and other DMK leaders were present.
