Speeding car kills one in North Delhi, accused arrested

A 22-year-old youth was killed as a speeding car allegedly hit him on a flyover in North Delhi, the police said on Wednesday. The police have arrested the accused who was drunk at the time of accident.

According to the police, the victim, Rishabh, a resident of Mainpuri in UP, and his friend Krishna Kant (22) were sitting on a divider on the Jagatpur Flyover after dinner on Monday, when a speeding black SX4 hit Rishabh.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

At the time of accident, Arbaz (21), a resident of Wazirabad, was driving the car and Mustab (21), a resident of Harsh Vihar, was sitting next to him. "They were drunk at the time of accident," the officer said.
