Pakistan fires unprovoked, violates ceasefire along LoC in Rajouri, jawan martyred

Pakistan troops on Thursday night violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the LoC in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district.

Pakistani Army yet again violated the ceasefire on Friday morning by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control (LoC ) in which a jawan reportedly attained martyrdom in the cross border firing in Sunder Ani sector of Rajouri.

"The Pakistani troops this morning continued to resort to unprovoked heavy firing in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, evoking a strong response from the Indian Army," official sources here said.

They added that the Indian Army effectively retaliated to the firing while there were reports that one Army jawan also attained martyrdom in the firing, which was yet to be confirmed by the Army.

On Tuesday, an Army jawan was martyred in cross border firing while heavy damage was inflicted to Pakistani Army posts across the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district.
