Mayawati depicted as Kali on party poster

After the controversial BJP’s post depicting UP president Keshav Prasad Maurya as Krishna and the opposition leaders as Kauravas, now a poster of Bahuna Samaj Party president Mayawati as ‘Kali’ during a Dr Ambedkar programme in Sadabad area of the district has created controversy.

The poster was put on a tableau brought out during a procession to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar in Sadabad last evening. The poster depicts Mayawati as Kali with blood dropping from severed head of Union HRD minister Smriti Irani in her hand and she was stomping on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also in the poster. The poster lauds Mayawati by saying, ‘Sherni ki tarah Sansad me daharhi Mayawati’ (Mayawati spoke like a lioness in parliament).

It also says that ‘Bahenjee hume maaf karo, hum Arakshan khatam hone nahi denge (Behenjee forgive us, we will not allow reservation to end).

However, after the poster was observed by the Hatras district authorities it was immediately removed from the procession.

But BSP has distanced itself from the controversial poster and state party president Ramachal Rajbhar said that the party has nothing to do with such posters.
