Demanding a CBI probe in the Mathura violence, younger brother of slain SP (city) Mukul Dwivedi has expressed his resolve to sit on a dharna if justice was not given to his family. Altogether 29 people including two senior police officers were killed in the violence.

The family members supported by Opposition parties are demanding for a CBI probe into the entire incident.

UP government has already rejected the demand of the CBI probe and has ordered a probe by the Aligarh Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant.

The situation turned tense on Tuesday morning after Prafful Dwivedi, the younger brother of the slain SP(City) expressed his annoyance with the district authorities and threatened to sit on dharna at Jawahar Bagh if his family was denied justice.

“My brother’s head was broken in pieces and only a CBI probe can nail the real culprits,” he told the reporters here.
