Jat quota stir: Traffic hit on NH-2, Yamuna Expressway

The ongoing Jat quota stir reached here today as members of the Jat community blocked Yamuna Expressway and NH2, disrupting traffic for over two hours.

"Hundreds of vehicles lined up on both sides of the Expressway and the National Highway-2 for over two hours as the protesters blocked roads demanding reservation in government jobs,"  SP (Rural) Arun Kumar said.

He said the agitation was called off when the protesters were given assurance that their memorandum would be sent to the Prime Minister.

Earlier in the day, RLD activists staged a dharna in front of BJP office.
