MOP’s silver jubilee valedictory on July 13

The Centre of Excellence, with four mission goals launched this year would be the focus of the institution, said Lalitha Balakrishnan, Principal, MOP Vaishnav College for Women, which is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.

The aim of the Centre is to ensure academic excellence, promote self-reliance, expand opportunities and give back to society as a way of inculcating social responsibility among students, she added. The Centre also facilitates international internships, and foreign delegates and students from two universities would be visiting MOP in 2018, she said.  

Addressing the media on Monday, the Principal said Professor DP Singh, director, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), will be the chief guest at the valedictory of the silver jubilee celebrations, to be held at Music Academy on Thursday, while Professor P Duraisamy, Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras, will be the guest of honour.
