Women forced into prostitution in massage parlour; one arrested

On Saturday, a police team conducted searches at Mayflower health and beauty care in Sriram colony, Alwarpet and found that the massage center was a front for prostitution.

CHENNAI: The anti-vice squad of Central Crime Branch (CCB), Chennai police on Saturday arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly forcing women into prostitution in his massage parlour in Alwarpet.

Police had received a tip off about the prostitution in a city massage parlour after which a special team was formed.

On Saturday, a police team conducted searches at a parlour in Sriram colony, Alwarpet and found that the massage center was a front for prostitution.

After investigations, police arrested the owner of the center, S Nirmal Raj (31) of Walajahbad, Kancheepuram district.

He was produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody. Four women were rescued and admitted to a government home.
