Woman passenger dies of cardiac arrest at Chennai Airport

The couple were coming from Bhubaneswar. Their flight had made a transit stop at Chennai airport around 12 30 am on Sunday. Their flight to Ahmedabad was to leave chennai at 4 am.

CHENNAI: A 40-year-old woman passenger allegedly died of cardiac arrest at Chennai airport during the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Kamalaben Vallabhgiri, a native of Gujarat. She was traveling to Ahmedabad with her husband, Vallabhgiri Atit, a businessman, airport sources said.

The couple were coming from Bhubaneswar. Their flight had made a transit stop at Chennai airport around 12 30 am on Sunday. Their flight to Ahmedabad was to leave chennai at 4 am.

On reaching the airport, the woman had complained of uneasiness and within seconds fell unconscious. She was rushed to a medical center in the airport where she was declared brought dead.

Airport police secured the body on information and moved it to Chromepet Government Hospital for autopsy. Further investigations are on.
