Woman fatally knocked down by MTC bus

A 26-year-old woman from Kundrathur, who was on her way to the Parthasarthy Temple in Triplicane was fatally knocked down by an MTC bus near Marina on Thursday.

Police said Rangamani was trying to cross the road to go to the temple at Kamarajar Salai when the MTC bus (Route No. 102 B) on its way from Broadway to Perumbakkam knocked her down around 5.30 am.

Police rushed the woman to the government general hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Police arrested bus driver Palani.
