Two killed in different accidents

Two persons were killed in different accidents in and around the city since Monday.

A 49-year-old bike rider was knocked down by a car on Outer Ring Road on Tuesday. The deceased, S Loganthan of Virugambakkam, was working for a firm into servicing medical equipment. He died on the spot with severe head injuries. While the driver escaped, the Poonamallee traffic investigation police have registered a case. In another fatal accident on Anna Salai, a 57-year-old steel trader died after his bike collided head-on with another bike near Periyar statue on Monday night. The victim, Yosuf of Mannadi, was riding his bike towards Anna flyover when the accident happened. He died at RGGGH.
