Three people were killed in three different road accidents in and around the city on Saturday.

Three people were killed in three different road accidents in and around the city on Saturday. The 19-year-old Muthu died and Lingam (20) suffered injuries when the two-wheeler in which they were travelling was hit by a private bus near Guduvanchery resulting in Muthu getting killed on the spot. A search is on for the bus driver who fled the scene. In another incident, a bike mechanic was run over by an MTC bus near Koyambedu flyover. The victim, Pillai Achari of Tirumallaivoyal, was bound towards Koyambedu with his wife Rani when the mishap occurred. In yet another incident Prema, a conservancy worker of the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital riding her two-wheeler was fatally knocked by a container lorry at Tirunindravur.
