Three die on tracks in separate train accidents

As many as three persons were killed in different train accidents on Saturday and police have identified two of them on Sunday.

V Thirumalai of Nemmeli fell from an EMU between Tirumalpur and Thakkolam railway stations around 11.30 am and died on the spot. Similarly, a 51-year-old man came in between the train and platform when he attempted to board the moving train at Chengalpattu railway station. He has been identified as M Mahendran of Coimbatore. In yet another incident, a middle-aged man was found dead near railway track between Chengalpattu and Paranur stations. Police suspect that he could have been fatally knocked down by a Chennai bound express train in the wee hours of Saturday. All three bodies were sent to Chengalpattu GH for autopsy.
